Happy Thanksgiving everybody! (Unless you're not American, in which case, keep going about your day. =P) Celebrate by reading comics.
Next week's update is totally dependent on me dragging myself out to the city to take some reference photos. I will hopefully have time, unless one of my editors throws a bunch of last minute work at me... again.

I missed another update. This shouldn't be surprising. I had a deadline, and I got super-sick last week. Like, with a fever. I never get that sick. I even slept for 12 hours. Eek.
In more awesome, news, I finally got a new scanner. (My old scanner didn't have compatible drivers with Vista or OSX, so I've been using my roommate's scanner for months.) But not just any scanner, an A3 scanner. I don't have to piece together my pages any more! This is one of the greatest purchases of my life.
Of course now that I can scan at my computer again, I guess I could start with the voting incentives again. La la la~~~

I'll be at King Con this weekend, along with Melissa DeJesus, Hwan Cho and Robin Ha. Becky Cloonan will also be hanging out at our table on Saturday, and is doing a signing with Melissa and Hwan at (I think) 5-6. I haven't gotten a map or a table assignment, but the table is listed under Melissa DeJesus. I don't have anything new, unless you missed me at MoCCA this year, then I have a new mini. Heh.

Vanessa Satone was born in West Point, New York in August 1979. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2001 with a BFA in Illustration and Cartooning. She is currently the letterer for One Piece, The Prince of Tennis, Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You and Knights of the Zodiac. She was formerly the graphic designer for CPM Press and Be Beautiful Manga. Vanessa has self-published three graphic novels and many mini comics. She lives in Brooklyn, with her roommate, cats and rabbits. Vanessa enjoys fruity, brighly colored alcholic beverages and wearing obnoxious, brightly colored sunglasses.
